Over 50 members attended the annual meeting. Thank you to those board members that helped with the cleanup on Saturday and brought food for the BBQ. Also, thank you to Nancy Cairns for her delicious peach cobbler. There were others who brought food, but did not sign the sheet, so we cannot thank you properly by name! Also, thanks to Andy Soha who was our grillmaster for the day…a hot job and a big help!

Attendees were brought up-to-date on the association's activities. The clubhouse has been closed all year due to a mold problem. The roof and rafters have been replaced along with the sheetrock on the front wall. A drop ceiling has been put in and new electrical has been installed. New ceiling lights and fans will be put in. Because we are now considered a commercial building, we have five years to bring our facility up to ADA standards. This will include fixing the handrails on the ramp, widening some doorways, installing handrails in the bathrooms, etc. The board would like to create a committee to set up a 3-year plan for the clubhouse that would include maintenance and renovation. Nonboard members are most welcome to serve on this committee.

Our community has had several break-ins and our bike rack for the students has been stolen, despite the hard work and vigilance of the Community Crime Watch volunteers. Camera surveillance is being tested to see if this will help with catching the perpetrators. One new home and two additions were built this past year. All were reminded to notify the Building and Zoning Committee before any building can start, including sheds. Everyone who picked up garbage along the roads was thanked for their help. It seems to be a never-ending job. All were reminded that their property must be maintained and ATVs must be registered with the board. Tags can be obtained from the board and must be displayed on the rear fender. The board also provides tags for cars that must be displayed on the rearview mirror.

Some of our road maintenance has been scaled back this year due to our clubhouse expenses but the top of Sycamore and the mailbox area are high priorities. Work will begin shortly. The board discussed with the members that either a special assessment or an increase in maintenance fees will be forthcoming due to our current/future expenses. A review of our books was conducted for the years 2008 through 2010 by an outside NJ accounting firm and all was found to be in good order.

July 2011 Attendees Annual MtgThe board chose Barbara Goldman as Volunteer of the Year because of all her hard work in making our clubhouse gardens so beautiful. The 50/50 was won by R. Moore.

Charlie Sollin announced he was stepping down as president after 15+ years and Donna Tweed decided not to seek reelection. Nominations were taken from the floor and Steve Wojtuniak was voted on the board. The new officers are: President - Bob Ritchie, V-P - Joe Davis, Treasurer - Don Rickert, Recording Secretary - Joni Hornidge. Since the annual meeting, three more resignations were received. If you would like to serve on the board and are a member in good standing, please notify the board ASAP. These positions need to be filled.

Hope to see you next year!
